Climb on, belay on, snack on
While parents ran around tracks and swam up and down pools all Saturday morning, a group of kids entertained themselves, with the help of a few key-placed parents, scampering up the climbing wall after a seemingly lost granola bar, 7-year-old Brenden Davis, pictured above, tossed up onto the ledge. By early afternoon, the granola bar remained, but the kids had spent hours gleefully launching themselves onto the climbing holds and belaying off the precipice in half-hearted efforts to find it.
