Snowdrift sculpture

Although recent winter-storm warnings didn’t yield as much snowfall as predicted, high winds over the New Year’s holiday shaped these fanciful drifts and cornices. Avalanche danger is listed as ‘considerable’ and people skiing, snowmobiling or snowshoeing in snow-covered areas should use caution and avoid triggering avalanches.
