What is Sharia law?
February 27, 2012
Sharia law is the moral and religious law of Islam. It governs the daily lives, legal system, moral code and religion of those of the Muslim faith. Because it has extensive directives that govern the treatment of non-believers of the faith, it is important for atheists, agnostics and anyone who believes in a different religion to understand what the integration of Sharia into the American legal, financial and educational systems means, and how it relates to the rights guaranteed in the United States Constitution for all American citizens. There are a lot of debates and information available online through search engine searches, as well as many books available that discuss the many various points of view about Islam, Sharia, and America. See the links below for more on the topics, issues and sides.
