Devan LaMere returned home from her final qualifier at Snowbird Utah and qualified to compete on the Intermountain Division ( IMD ) team at the Regional Championships, otherwise known as the Junior Olympics ( JO's ), to be held in Bozeman, Montana, March 15-18. She will travel and stay with the IMD team and train with their coaches for a week, and will compete in four days of races to include Slalom, Giant Slalom, Super G, and a Combi on the final day.

To qualify, she competed in four different alpine races held at Jackson Hole, Park City, Snowbird, and McCall, Idaho against competitors from Utah, Idaho and Wyoming, and finished in the top ten at all of them.

The Intermountain Division is one of the toughest fields of alpine racers in the United States, and is one of five divisions in the Western Region.

Devan will be competing against racers from Alaska, Hawaii, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, California, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming and South Dakota at the JO's. Devan has been traveling to Jackson to train with the Jackson Hole Ski Club and has been racing USSA for seven years. Her ultimate dream would be to be selected to the U.S. Ski Team some day, but for now she will savor this accomplishment.
