Pinedale Nordic Ski Grooming Report, March 31, 2012
March 31, 2012
(Saturday, 8:00 AM report) Old Road Trail, Lower Surveyor, Surveyor, Tree Loop, Kelly Park and Kelly Park Tie-In are freshly groomed, however temperature is about 37 degrees F and skiers should expect very soft and some slushy conditions. Skyline Drive road is dry. White Pine parking lot is soft. Use caution if skiing Fremont Lake – the edges are starting to get rotten. Dogs permitted only on the Old Road Trail, Lower Surveyor Park and Kelly Park trails. Skiers are asked to please pick up after your dog’s droppings.
County crews keep Skyline Drive road plowed to the White Pine Parking lot. No services at the lodge (White Pine is closed for the season), however there is a new Nordic Warming Hut with a vaulted restroom at the trailhead near the White Pine parking lot. CCC Pond area trails are no longer groomed due to wildlife closures. Golf course trails have melted and are no longer available.
