Spring High Water

The spring high water of 2011 verified diary accounts of the treacherous New Fork River crossing of the Lander Trail where wagons overturned, people drowned and livestock was washed downstream. The July spring high water was at the peak when hundreds of immigrants and thousands of livestock crossed the river each day.
