Voter Registration
2012 elections bring several important local and national elections for the citizens. Voters who are not sure if they are still registered to vote in Sublette County should check with the Clerk’s Office in the Sublette County Courthouse. If you didn’t vote in the last general election, and didn’t respond to the Clerk’s Office notice asking if you wished to remain on the rolls, your name has probably been purged from the voter registration rolls. If you’ve moved or changed your name, you should check and update your status. Citizens can call, email, write, or drop by the Sublette County Clerk’s office to inquire and update their information. The Clerk’s office can be reached at 307-367-4372.

Absentee Voting options
In the event that you will not be at your voting location on election day, voters should be aware they have the option of absentee voting. In Wyoming, any qualified elector may apply for an absentee ballot at any time during a calendar year in which an election is held, but not on the day of the election.

No formal absentee ballot request form is required by the State of Wyoming. A voter may request an absentee ballot be mailed to them by contacting the County Clerk by phone, email, fax or mail. When requesting an absentee ballot, the Clerk’s office needs your name, residence address, mailing address, and birth date or social security number. Once information is verified, a ballot will be sent in the mail. Absentee ballots must be received by the County Clerk no later than 7:00 p.m. on Election Day. Absentee ballots can be returned in person or by mail. Voters can also vote an absentee ballot in person in the office of the county clerk 40 days before an election.
