Warming temperatures in the weather outlook
Rising stream water levels expected
April 20, 2012
The National Weather Service is advising that unseasonably warm temperatures next week could cause a significant rise in area creeks due to melting mountain snowpack. Elevated to extreme fire weather behavior is also possible Tuesday and Wednesday, mainly in the typical wind prone areas such as from Rock Springs to Casper. Those with outside interests should stay tuned for current weather and fire potential condition reports.
Sandbags are available always to anyone who lives in a flood-prone area. Contact Jim Mitchell, Sublette County Emergency Management Coordinator, Sublette County Sheriff’s Office, 307-367-4378.
