SBA Small Business Week awards in Pinedale May 18

The Wyoming District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration will be presenting the awards for Small Business Week 2012 to the following:

• Small Business Person of the Year – Lee and Tammy Swenson, Rapid Wire, LLC, Cora, Wyoming;
• Financial Services Champion of the Year for Wyoming – Bill Kleven, Market Chairman, Pinedale and Rock Springs, Rocky Mountain Bank, Pinedale, Wyoming; and Region VIII Financial Services Champion;
• Small Business Champion of the Year – Pam Thayer, Executive Director, Rawlins Downtown Development Authority/Main Street, Rawlins Wyoming.

These awards will be presented on Friday, May 18, 2012, at the dinner and presentation of the Preserve Wyoming and Wyoming Main Street awards to be held at 7:00pm at the Sublette County Library, Lovatt Room, Pinedale, Wyoming. Steve Despain, District Director of the Wyoming SBA, will be presenting these three prestigious awards. Lee and Tammy Swenson were nominated by Mark Atkinson, Regional Director, Wyoming Small Business Development Center; Bill Kleven was nominated by Mark Atkinson and Pam Thayer was nominated by James Drever, Consultant, Wyoming Small Business Development Center.
