Sublette County Nature Camp June 18-22
by Wyoming Land Trust
June 13, 2012
The Wyoming Land Trust is offering the Sublette County Nature Camp June 18-22nd.
Follow your senses and your curiosity on an adventure through the communities of Sublette County. See the natural world in a new way, exploring the big and small, and the near and far using magnifying glasses, bug boxes, and a scientific frame of mind. While collecting insects, looking for tracks, and identifying plants, we will learn about the areas throughout Sublette County that many plants and animals call home.
Our week includes a trip to the CCC Ponds to learn about water ecology including how past glaciation shaped the area, a visit to a local ranch to learn about agriculture and the important role it plays in our community, a historical tour and visit from a mountain man, a tour of the pronghorn migration route, a tour of a natural gas field, a land stewardship service project and much more!
Join us as we discover the people and resources that power our lives as you team up with friends new and old to have fun and make a difference for the plants, animals and people of Sublette County. Cost is $200/student. Scholarships available.
