by Yellowstone National Park
June 14, 2012
Yellowstone National Park joins the nation in observing the month of June as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Pride Month. During LGBT Pride Month, we recognize and celebrate the accomplishments and contributions made by LGBT Americans. We also reconfirm our commitment to achieving equality under the law for all Americans. For the second year in a row, Yellowstone National Park employees will participate in events held in connection with Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Pride month
Park employees from both the National Park Service and Concessioners will march in the Pride parade Saturday, June 16 in Bozeman, Montana.
After the parade, the National Park Service will staff an information table in order to answer questions about Yellowstone, encourage those attending the event to visit the park, and explain how to apply for jobs with the National Park Service.
