Sublette County Clerk of District Court, Marilyn Jensen, submitted a letter of resignation to the Sublette County Board of County Commissioners on Tuesday, August 7th.
With the acceptance of her letter of resignation, there is now a vacancy in this elected position. Below is the legal notice by the Sublette County Republican Party advertising for qualified interested people to fill the position for the remainder of her term which expires at the end of 2014.

Vacancy in County Clerk of District Court Position
Today, Tuesday, August 7, 2012, the Board of County Commissioners accepted a letter of resignation from Marilyn M. Jensen, Sublette County Clerk of District Court, effective September 30, 2012, and declared a vacancy in this position. In accordance with W.S. 22-18-111(a), the Board is notifying you of this vacancy and advising you that this will be for a 27 month period of time, as the temporary successor will serve until December 31, 2014.
As required by W.S. 22-18-111(a)(ii), upon receipt of this notification, the County Chairman shall call a meeting of the Republican County Central Committee to be held not later than 15 days after this notice is received. At this meeting, the Central Committee shall select and transmit to the Board of County Commissioners the names of three persons qualified to fill the vacancy. The Board of County Commissioners would like to make its appointment at its regular meeting on August 24, 2012, at 10 am, if possible.
Also, in accordance with W.S. 22-18-111 (a), the person appointed shall be a qualified elector (registered voter).The County Clerk of District Court in Sublette County is a fulltime position.
