Montana's wolf hunting seasons open soon. The General Archery Season opens Sept. 1, while the backcountry rifle season opens Sept. 15. The general season rifle opens Oct. 15. Season dates do vary by hunting district, so be sure to check the Montana hunting regulations, which you can access from the links below.

The most recent Montana wolf season had hunters harvesting 166 wolves, less than the quota provided by state officials.
