Sublette County assists in evacuation of burn victims in natural gas explosion

Tip Top Search & Rescue program administrator, Jason Ray, and Sublette County EMS Director, Kenna Tanner accompanied the Sublette County contract helicopter on a rescue mission in Fremont County on Wednesday, August 22nd. Fremont County called asking for their assistance in evacuating multiple people with burn injuries from an explosion at the Conoco-Phillips Lost Cabin natural gas treatment plant located near Lysite. The Sublette County crew helped transport victims to the Casper hospital. According to news reports, four people were injured in the flash fire which happened during routine maintenance and extinguished immediately.
The helicopter rescue work was a combined effort between Fremont and Sublette counties with help from Sublette County Sheriff Dave Lankford and Sublette County Emergency Management Coordinator Jim Mitchell in Pinedale to make it happen.
