Chall Creek fire
Derek Zitt of Amboy, Wash., snapped this photo of the Chall Creek fire Sunday afternoon as it encroaches on his hunting cabin in Thunder Basin subdivision near Merna. The fire was reported Sunday afternoon around 2 p.m. at an estimated 40 acres and overnight with strong winds grew to about 200 acres, according to Bridger-Teton National Forest spokeswoman Nan Stinson. Monday, seven engines, one county bulldozer, three helicopters and 50 firefighters from Bondurant, Kendall Valley, Boulder, Sublette County, Utah and the Forest Service were on the scene.
