‘Iron Jawed Angels’ movie Oct. 22

Soroptimist presents a free showing of the film "Iron Jawed Angels" on Monday, October 22 in the Lovatt Room of the Sublette County Library in Pinedale. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Movie starts at 6:00 p.m. Movie theatre concessions provided. Iron Jawed Angels is a 2004 American drama film. It is directed by Katja von Garnier and stars Hillary Swank, Frances O’Connor, Julia Ormond, and Angelica Huston. It focuses on the American women’s suffrage movement during the 1910’s. The film received acclaim at the Sundance Film Festival. The film follows political activists Alice Paul and Lucy Burns as they use peaceful and effective strategies, tactics, and dialogues to revolutionize the American feminist movement to grant women the right to vote.
