Editorializing About Wolves

Once again those who disagree with the legal wolf hunting seasons instituted in western states are demonizing those involved and claiming that the sustained harvest of animals is really a "culture war ... between those who recognize the gray wolf's right to exist and ... those who view the creature as a threat to livestock and public safety that must be mercilessly exterminated."
What nonsense. Western wildlife management includes the annual harvest of game species, and that now includes wolves. Perhaps those who claim this is some hated-filled cultural war are simply promoting their own interests by being less than honest about views that differ from their own, while lining their pocketbooks. They do a dis-service to their public. Wouldn't sticking to the facts about their disagreement with current management policies be the better route?
This week, it's Earthjustice that is the culprit. Click on the link below to read the Earthjustice slant. There you will read that Wyoming's regulated wolf hunt is a "wholesale slaughter."
