DEQ adds two additional Air Quality Monitors
Two new air quality monitoring stations, in Casper and Rock Springs

The Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality – Air Quality Division (AQD) is adding two new air quality monitoring stations to their Wyoming network, in Casper and Rock Springs.
The Casper Monitoring Station will be located near the intersection of south west Wyoming Boulevard and CY Avenue to monitor ozone and other air quality and meteorological parameters in a residential area of Casper.
The Mobile Monitoring Station located in the city of Rock Springs, was established to assess ambient air quality in the area and will remain at the site for at least one year.
The following pollutants and meteorological parameters will be monitored by both monitoring stations: ozone, oxides of nitrogen, temperature, wind speed, wind direction, precipitation, and solar radiation.
The stations will also include a camera for scene monitoring. In addition, the Rock Springs Mobile Monitor will be monitoring for relative humidity, particulate matter and methane/non-methane hydrocarbons.
These monitoring stations are part of the Air Quality Division’s commitment to monitor ambient air quality throughout Wyoming.
