The last several years Hoelscher and his wife have spent most of their free time following their children’s sporting activities. "My son has been a very active football and lacrosse player, and my daughter played field hockey, basketball and lacrosse in high school, and Division 1 field hockey at Northeastern University in Boston," said Hoelscher.

Hoelscher’ s family will join him in Big Piney later this spring. "I am particularly excited about moving back west again, closer to family and old friends, and working closely with all the people whose lives are livelihoods are so intermingled with the Bridger Teton National Forest, and the Yellowstone Ecosystem," he said.
