The Pinedale Travel and Tourism Commission (PTTC) has hired Serese Kudar as the full-time administrator and executive director for the Town of Pinedale's Lodging Tax Board, which oversees tourism and promotion for Pinedale, Mayor Stephen Smith said Monday.
Kudar has worked as the marketing consultant for the Commission since September 2011 and been involved in sales and marketing for the hospitality industry for 15 years. She will begin her new job March 1st with an office location at the Sublette County Visitor Center at 19 East Pine Street on the second level.
"I am pleased to welcome such a highly qualified individual to the Commission," Smith said. "Serese Kudar has a great deal of experience promoting Wyoming and I am confident she will continue to represent Pinedale well."
In her new job, Kudar will oversee tourism and new media promotion forthe Town of Pinedale, overseeing the town’s 3 percent lodging tax collection for marketing promotions to attract year round visitation. The Commission has five members and works with nearly a $200,000 budget.
Kudar said she’s excited by the challenge.
"It is basically my dream job," she said. "I was born in Gillette, raised in Casper, lived in Jackson, and find myself in the best mountain town in the west, what better thing to be promoting."
Kudar says the Commission has "a fantastic platform" that has increased awareness for Pinedale, a strategic plan that has brought forth a 293% increase to visitation to the destination website, www.visitpinedale.org.
"My hopes are to improve collaborative relationships within town and incorporate new media and online technologies and take it to the next level," Kudar said.
Prior to joining the Commission, Kudar was a marketing consultant for her own company, Kudar LLC, and a Realtor for Contour Investment Properties for Pinedale and Jackson areas. She currently serves as Vice Chair for the Sublette Chamber of Commerce and is a standing Board Member for the Wyoming Travel Industry Coalition.
Born in Gillette and raised in Casper, Houston, and Bakersfield, Kudar received a marketing degree from San Diego State University's School of Communication.
