Obituary – Steve Kanski

Steve Kanski passed away after a short illness, April 4, in Lake Havasu City, AZ at the age of 83. He was born February 17, 1930, to Pete and Mary Kanski in Fairfield, ND.
Steve leaves behind his beloved wife Janice of Lake Havasu City, AZ. They were married 57 years;his sons, GaryKanski of Lake Havasu City; David Kanski and wife Lynda of Pinedale, WY; his daughters, Debbie Thomas (Kanski) and husband John of Mitchell, NE and Diane Degenhart (Kanski) of Denver, CO; his brothers, Freddie and Harry (Leona) Kanski; sisters, Ann (Roy) Basaraba, Bettie (Paul) Haverluk and Sister Rose Margaret Kanski;5 grandchildren, Clancy, Andrew, Lauren, Kael and Katie.
Steve enjoyed his life as a cattle rancher in Pinedalefor almost forty years. A farmer at heart, Steve loved to irrigate and work his land to produce hay and alfalfa. Steve retired from ranching in 1993, to Lake Havasu City, AZ in the winters, where for many years he enjoyed playing golf. Steve had a big heart and a generous hand. He always helped the less fortunate. Steve was a man of great faith.As much as we will miss him; we find comfort to know he is in heaven. During the Korean Conflict he served in the Army and was stationed in Germany.
