Ladies Only Fly Fishing Training June 22
by Upper Green River Chapter of Trout Unlimited
June 3, 2013
The Upper Green River Chapter of Trout Unlimited (TU) is hosting its’ fourth Ladies Only Fly Fishing event on June 22, 2013. During the five hour session, ladies will learn the basics of rod assembly, fly casting, fly fishing techniques, knot tying and fly selection. It’s a fun, easy and no stress way to learn or refresh fly fishing skills in a pristine setting near Half Moon Lake, just north of Pinedale.
The morning session, which begins at 9:00 a.m., presents the skills and knowledge used to fly fish Wyoming’s rivers and lakes. Professional instructors from Two Rivers Emporium will conduct the lessons and provide individual coaching. After the instruction, participants will put their new found knowledge into action and practice knot tying, casting and other fishing skills. Following a midday lunch at Half Moon Lake Lodge, ladies will fly fish for trout in a nearby trophy pond and improve their fishing abilities. There will also be competition events with prizes awarded!
The registration fee is $35 per person which includes instruction, lunch and a one year Trout Unlimited membership (valued at $25). A Wyoming fishing license is required and must be purchased before the event. You can bring your own rod or a rod/reel combination will be available for your use. The Upper Green River Chapter of Trout Unlimited can provide this low cost, daylong event thanks to the generosity of Two Rivers Emporium and Half Moon Lake Lodge.
You can register for the Ladies Only Fly Fishing event at Two Rivers Emporium, 211 Main Street, Pinedale, Wyoming. Two Rivers Emporium also sells Wyoming resident and non-resident fishing licenses.
