Big Piney Ranger Station now selling ORV permits
by Bridger-Teton National Forest
August 21, 2013
The Big Piney Ranger District of the Bridger-Teton National Forest now has Wyoming State ORV (Off Road Vehicle) permits for sale and will have snowmobile permits for sale this winter. The $15 state ORV permit is valid for a calendar year and required for both residents and non-residents (same permit for both users). There is no reciprocity with other state's OHV or ORV permits. Funds collected are used to operate the Wyoming ORV Trails Program. The State ORV Trails Program develops, maintains and manages ORV trails in the areas where the funds are collected. All ORV's are required to display the Wyoming ORV permit while operating on public lands and other designated roads, trails or areas. It is important to know which designated roads, routes, and trails are open for ORV travel. Free ORV maps are available at any location where permits may be obtained. Visit the State Trails Program website at http://wyotrails.state.wy.us/ for more information. Additional information may be found the Bridger-Teton National Forest website www.fs.usda.gov/btnf/ or by calling the Big Piney Ranger District at 307-276-3375.
