Entrance
Community members scurry through a rain shower to participate in the
dedication of the new Big Piney Elementary School. Students have beautiful views of the Wyoming
Range Mountains on one side of the school, and the Wind River Mountains in the other direction.

Singing
BPES students, led by Mr. Neale, sang "This Land Is Your Land" to the community gathering.

Reception
Visitors are able to access the entryway and are greeted by the
reception/office.

Ribbon Cutting
Sublette County School District No. 9 Superintendent Gerry Chase and Board Chairman Dr. David Burnett cut the ribbon during the ceremony celebrating completion of the $14
million facility.

Gym
The gym is located just inside the entrance to the building.

OT
The occupational therapy room is adjacent to the gym.

Safari Chair
There are special touches and designs to be found throughout the school. This is one of the school's safari-themed chairs.

Commons
Students and visitors tour the school and relax in the commons area.
|
Area of Refuge
The school is equipped with an "Area of Refuge" in the case of a major
disaster or emergency, with contacts for assistance.

Cove
These cozy reading/study coves are tucked into the walls throughout the school.

K Classroom
The three kindergarten classrooms are bright and cheerful.

Berry
Mrs. Berry's first grade classroom. The classrooms are inviting for students and are well-supplied.

Speech
This bright corner is part of the speech therapy room.

Taco Frenzy
The fifth graders are participating in
a Taco Frenzy in which they earn points (parts of a taco) for math work.

Social Worker
The social worker's room is stuffed with games and activities, comfy chairs and a student work table.

Mitchell
Mr. Mitchell's fourth grade classroom. Classrooms for the older
grades are located upstairs, with
younger students downstairs.

Guenthner
Mrs. Guenthner's fourth-grade classroom, with its artful corner.

Special Ed
The special education resource room is fun and full of activities, with
students preparing their plans to work the stock market (game).

Life Skills
The life skills room is fully equipped to help students tackle what may
become everyday tasks later in life.

Clark
Mrs. Clark's second grade classroom looks smart, with the Smartboard its center of focus.
