Pinedale Hockey Association 2013/2014 season underway

The Pinedale Hockey Association (PHA) announced that the 2013/2014 hockey season is officially underway.
PHA hosted approximately 30 individuals from across the state for the Wyoming Amateur Hockey League (WAHL) Scheduler’s meeting in Pinedale on September 21. Two members from each hockey association in Wyoming, plus several officials from WAHL, crowded the archery room upstairs at the Sublette County Ice Arena (SCIA) to negotiate the game schedule for the entire season. A complete list of home games is posted at www.pinedaleglaciers.com. Away game schedule is available on the WAHL website www.wyohockey.com.
The SCIA weekly schedule has also been set for the year. This schedule includes days and times for hockey practice, figure skating practice, public skate, Stick and Puck, and Learn to Skate. This schedule is also posted on the PHA website. Fees for Sublette County Residents are; • Public Skate $2.00 • Stick & puck $3.00 out of County $6.00 • Freestyle Figure $5.00 out of County $10.00 • Skate Rentals $2.00 • Equipment Rentals .50 cents
The games are free and open to the public. Everyone is encouraged to come cheer on the Glaciers and check out Sublette County’s fantastic recreational facility.
PHA is planning many other upcoming events. • ‘Try Hockey for Free" Oct. 19 and Nov. 2 for youngsters wanting to see what the sport is all about. • Graeme Townshend Skating and Skills Clinic Nov. 2 • Referee and Coaching Clinics
PHA registration for the 2013-2014 Season is open and players can register online for USA Hockey and Pinedale Glaciers. Team Coaches have already met with the PHA Board and most will begin practice soon.
