Who is in charge of the National Parks?

The Department of the Interior oversees the National Park Service as well as the Bureau of Land Management and the United States Geological Survey. The United States Secretary of the Interior is the head of the U.S. Department of the Interior. The Secretary is a member of the President's Cabinet. The current Secretary of the Interior in President Barack Obama's administration is former REI CEO Sally Jewell of Washington. She was born in the United Kingdom and is a naturalized American citizen. Jewell was confirmed by the Senate on April 10, 2013, replacing Ken Salazar.
The National Park Service (NPS) is the United States federal agency that manages all national parks, many national monuments, and other conservation and historical properties with various title designations. It is an agency of the United States Department of the Interior. Most of the direct management of the NPS is delegated by the Secretary of the Interior to the National Park Service Director, who must be confirmed by the Senate. The current Director of the National Park Service is Jonathan Jarvis, in place since September, 2009.
Wyoming is home to Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park, Devil’s Tower National Monument.
