The Sublette County Chamber of Commerce invites grant seekers and interested public to their November Community Conversation Luncheon on Thursday, November 7th at 12:00 noon in the Lovatt Room of the Sublette County Library. This is a great opportunity to learn the details about opportunities this local grant program offers. Lunch will be served for attendees. Chamber members are free. General admission is $15. The Sublette Community Foundation grants are awarded to worthwhile local organizations. It operates in partnership between the local foundation and the Wyoming Community Foundation. Grant money is given into the local community nonprofits to support their efforts
The local Sublette Community Foundation board meets periodically, reviews all the applications and makes recommendations for funding. Any Sublette County nonprofits are welcome to apply. The last grant deadline was November 1, 2013.
The Wyoming Community Foundation (WYCF) is a non-governmental, publicly supported foundation, governed by a self-perpetuating board of citizens, and making grants from individual funds contributed or bequeathed by individuals, families, corporations, nonprofit organizations and other sources. Since its inception in 1989, the WYCF has made $30.89 million in nearly 7000 grants to Wyoming nonprofits. In 2012, the WYCF awarded $2.59 million in grants. The WYCF has three grant cycles per year. Funds are granted to organizations that are effectively working to make a difference in the quality of life for residents in the state of Wyoming.
