Legal Aid of Wyoming, Inc. is pleased to announce it will host a class on Understanding Federal Income Taxes on Wednesday, December 5, 2013 and Thursday, December 6, 2013. The Wednesday class will be held at the Family Justice Center, 725 C Street, in Rock Springs. The Thursday class will be held at the Pinedale library, 155 S. Tyler Ave. Both classes will begin promptly at 5:00 p.m.
This class is designed for people with limited knowledge of basic tax principles. It will cover such topics as; who is required to file a tax return, what happens if you miss the April 15 deadline, how the Affordable Care Act will impact taxes, what you should do if you find an error after you have already filed your forms, and much more. A licensed attorney will conduct the class and will be available to answer basic questions.
Earlier this year Legal Aid of Wyoming opened a new office in Rock Springs. This new office is designed to serve the legal needs of low income residents of Southwest Wyoming. The office is currently staffed by one full-time attorney who represents clients on a variety of civil matters. Those seeking legal assistance are encouraged to call Legal Aid of Wyoming's toll free legal advice hotline at 1-877-432-9955 to see if they qualify for services.
