December 23, 2013
Monday, Dec. 23 report: All trails freshly groomed except for Heart Attack. Dusting of new snow. Weather is pretty warm today, snowing slightly, but a breeze is expected to come up later today, so best conditions are probably earlier in the day. There is a hazard at the bottom of the Kelly Tie-In trail where it crosses with Surveyor Creek - watch for possible water overflow at this location. The road in is in good shape. Come on up! ______________________________________________
Editor's Note: White Pine Ski Area is open daily for the winter ski/snowboard season through January 5th. Lifts run from 9AM to 4PM and the lodge has food service available from 11AM to 3PM. The road is paved, but may be snow-packed and icy in places. Be prepared for more traffic on Skyline Drive both ways on the road - use caution on curves and avoid excessive speed. Watch for wildlife along the road.
