Second City returns to Pinedale Jan. 8

The Pinedale Fine Arts Council is proud to present the legendary comedy theatre troupe The Second City performing "Happily Ever Laughter" Wednesday, January 8th at 7:00 p.m. in the Pinedale Auditorium.
The Second City’s Happily Ever Laughter is a hilarious revue featuring some of the best sketches, songs and improvisation from The Second City’s fifty-three year history.
Drawing on classic material from The Second City archives as well as scenes ripped from the morning headlines, The Second City’s Happily Ever Laughter is your chance to see comedy stars in the making in an evening of smart, cutting edge comedy. The Second City continues to deliver the leading voices in comedy while touring the globe. With scripted and improvisational elements, audiences always enjoy being part of the show and playing along with the next generation of comic legends. Many of comedy’s brightest stars have hit the road with The Second City Touring Company including Tina Fey, Stephen Colbert, Amy Poehler, Steve Carell, Bill Murray, Keegan Michael Key and most recently, current Saturday Night Live stars Cecily Strong, Tim Robinson, and Jason Sudeikis.
Second City was previously in Pinedale in 2008 and featured a standout performance by Katie Rich who later went on to the Second City Mainstage and most recently became a writer on Saturday Night Live.
Ticket prices for the January 8 performance are $15 for adults and $7 for students (kids under the age of 5 are free). Tickets are on sale now at Rock Rabbit, Pine Street Floral & Gifts, The Cowboy Shop, Office Outlets, Isabel Jewelry, the Big Piney Library, and at the door the night of the performance ($2 extra).
The Second City live in Pinedale is presented by the Pinedale Fine Arts Council with support in part from the Wyoming Arts Council through funding from the Wyoming Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts which believes a great nation deserves great art, Sublette BOCES, SCSD #1, Western Sublette BOCES #9, the Western States Arts Federation, the Sublette County Recreation Board, the Rocky Mountain Power Foundation, The Sublette Community Foundation, Shell Rocky Mountain, Encana, Linn Energy, QEP Resources, Tegelers & Associates, Wyoming Community Foundation, Ultra and First Bank.
