The Pinedale Snow Explorers Snowmobile Club will be hosting an avalanche training course on Friday and Saturday, January 10th and 11th. The session on the 10th will be from 7-9PM in the Lovatt Room at the Pinedale Library and will include indoor and outdoor components. Attendees will need to come prepared to go outside and will need their avalanche beacons, probes and shovels. The Saturday session will be in the Horse Creek area. Attendees will need to meet at the Horse Creek parking lot at 9AM and will again need their avalanche beacons, probes and shovels. The Bridger-Teton Avalanche Center will be conducting the training. Anyone wishing to attend should contact Bill Lanning at 307-231-4799 by Sunday, January 5 so they can have a head count.
