Friday, Jan. 31, 8:00AM report: Old Road Trail, Lower Surveyor, Kelly Tie-In, Kelly Park all freshly groomed this morning. About ½" of really fluffy powder on the trail. 10 degrees, partly cloudy. The road is plowed, but snow-packed. If you want to ski on fresh fluffy powder, Surveyor Park and Tree Loop are good choices. If you want firmer and a bit faster skiing, Kelly Park and Old Road Trail are better. The CCC Pond bike path trail is groomed with a classic track, but the snow coverage isn’t very deep. The trail is a bit narrow and skiers may encounter some grass and tops of brush still poking through the snow. The golf course is skimpy on snow still – skiers should beware of the paved paths underneath the thin snow that can damage skis.
