Moose alert update, 10:15AM: There is a puny calf moose on the new little loop trail at the bottom where Kelly Tie-In trail meets the Kelly Park trail. Didn’t see a mama around. The snow is very deep in this area and the calf is having trouble getting off the trail. We ask people to not go this way while the calf is there. It doesn’t need more stress from people or dogs. Will mark the entrance and exit with pin flags and ski pole X to let people know not to go this way until this calf can leave the area. If you see a moose on the trail ahead of you no matter where you are, turn around and leave and take a different trail. Thanks for your cooperation helping this little guy out.
Sunday, Feb. 23, 9:15AM report: At least 12" of new snow at White Pine. All trails above will be freshly groomed this morning by 10AM, except for Flatline. The CCC trails will be done by about 1. Road is plowed. 22 degrees. Expect soft conditions. Grab your classic skis and a tube of blue wax. Y’all can quit doing your snow dance. There’s enough.
