Friday, Feb. 28, 9:00AM report: All trails above groomed this morning. About 1" of new snow this morning. Mostly cloudy, 29 degrees, occasional breeze blowing. Pretty nice. CCC Pond trails should still be in good shape. Golf Course trails have some blow over snow from clearing the road. More snow forecast for the weekend. Be alert for wildlife struggling with the deep snow and moving onto trails and the road where it is easier for them to get around. There’s a high school ski race on Saturday at White Pine. This is the make-up race from the one cancelled on Feb. 8th. High School teams from Cody, Jackson, Laramie, Casper Kelly Walsh, Casper Natrona and Pinedale will be racing on the Fremont run. The race starts at 10AM and spectators are welcome. Expect more traffic, including buses on Skyline Drive Friday and Saturday.
