Pinedale Hockey Association hosts Squirt WAHL State Hockey Tournament Feb. 21-23

The Pinedale Hockey Association (PHA) will be hosting the 2013-2014 Wyoming Amateur Hockey League (WAHL) Squirt State Tournament at the Sublette County Ice Arena in Pinedale on February 21-23.
Eleven teams from across Wyoming will be competing in 17 tournament games over the weekend. Communities participating include Park County, Casper, Cheyenne, Douglas, Gillette, Laramie, Rock Springs, Sheridan, and Pinedale. The games will kick off on Friday with the first game starting at 3:00 pm and end with the Pinedale Glacier High School team playing Casper Oilers for the last game of the night at 8:15. Games will run throughout the day on Saturday with High School Glaciers vs Casper game at 10:45 am followed by the Squirt Olympics skills competition at 12:30.
Championship Playoffs will begin on Sunday morning. The consolation games will start at 7:00 am for 5th/6th place A Division, 8:15 for 3rd/4th B Division and 9:30 for 3rd/4th A Division. The B Division Championship game will start at 11:00 and the A Division Championship game at 12:30.
Raffle tickets will be available to purchase at the rink for a variety of baskets. Money collected from raffles helps PHA with the cost of hosting the tournament. Concessions will also be available with proceeds going to the 8th grade New York trip.
The Pinedale Hockey Association as well as the Pinedale Glacier Squirts would like to thank the members of the community who have so generously donated time and money to help sponsor the tournament making this event possible.
