Wildland fire training offered May 5-10

Attention Potential Fire Fighters! The Basic Wildland Fire Training course required of all firefighters before working on the firelines of any Sublette County, USFS, BLM or State Land fire is being offered May 5th-10th at the new Fire Training Facility in Marbleton.
Courses offered are: S-130: Firefighter Training S-190: Intro to Wildland Fire Behavior
Class times are 6-10PM. Practicals on Saturday. Class includes training manuals, videos, guest speakers and great "been there" stories. Passing the class and the "Pack Test" qualifies you for a "Red Card" which is mandatory on any wildland fire. This class is very interesting, a skills and resume builder and essential if you live in our western forested mountains.
Please contact your nearest local volunteer fire station to register for the class as soon as possible.
