Plans are underway for the first annual Sublette County Fair Lynn Thomas Memorial Art Show and Sale which will take place the week of the Sublette County Fair beginning July 19, 2014. The event will be co-sponsored by the fair board and the Mixed Media art group.

The show will be in honor of local artist, Lynn Thomas, who passed away from cancer in 2009. Lynn, a long-time member of Women Artists of the West, was a stalwart supporter of the fair, 4-H, the Sublette County community in general, and the arts all across the state. She was a president of the Wyoming Artists' Association and the organization's "Grand Wyoming Artist" in 1997. She and her husband, Joe, ran the Big Sandy Lodge for 20 years. It is the goal of the fair board to promote the art show as a prestigious "destination" event each year.

Artist Charmian McLellan, who lives in Boulder, Wyoming is curating the show and is seeking purchase awards, notifying artists, and will organize a reception and Quick Draw.
