May 8, 2014
The Bridger-Teton National Forest is now accepting applications for the United States Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) program, deadline to apply is Monday May 12th, 2014.
YCC is a summer employment program for youth (males and females) age 15 through 18 who are citizens of the United States. Selected applicants will work full time for 8 weeks performing various projects both outdoors and in an office setting. This is a non-residential program, meaning that participants will live at home and will need to provide their own transportation on a daily basis to the assigned duty station. Employment usually will begin the second week of June to the second week of August. Members are paid the established Federal minimum wage.
The Bridger-Teton will have five YCC openings this year located in three different duty stations: one opening for Pinedale Ranger District in Pinedale, three openings for Greys River Ranger District in Afton, and one opening at the Forest Service Supervisor’s Office in Jackson, WY.
