Closed Trail Notice – Porcupine Creek Pass Trail
by Bridger-Teton National Forest
July 4, 2014
Friday, July 4: The Forest Service is advising their trail crews have discovered a large debris, rock and snow slide that has blocked at least ¾ of a mile of the Porcupine Pass Trail in the Upper Green. The slide apparently occurred over the winter on the north side of the pass. Stock cannot get over the debris slide and it is risky and not recommended for hiker foot traffic. The slide obliterated the trail and there are still many drifts of snow on the whole trail. Those wishing to get to Lozier Lake can still access it via the New Fork trail. Signs will be posted at the trailheads advising of the trail closure. Contact the Pinedale Ranger District of the Bridger-Teton National Forest for more info, 307-367-4326.
