Pinedale Travel and Tourism awards lodging tax grant funds

The Pinedale Travel and Tourism Commission allocated $12,500 toward promotional services for the August 30th Funding Cycle with a mission to effectively spend lodging tax funds to promote travel and tourism within the Town of Pinedale. The goals for Pinedale Lodging Tax Grant Program support programs and events that are compatible with their mission statement with a focus to attract visitors to Pinedale during shoulder and winter seasons, provide opportunities for visitors to interact with residents in a positive and meaningful way, offer public relations value locally, regionally, and nationally, provide multiple positive benefits and a return on investment, demonstrate potential to become self-sufficient, and encourage broad collaborations among event or program producers.
Of the eleven applicants, the following have been awarded sponsorships toward their program or event; Pinedale Hockey Association’s WAHL State Final Tournament ($3,000.00), White Pine RMSHA Hillclimb ($2,000.00), PFAC’s Public Art Walking Tour Map ($1,425.00), USA Yoga Utah/Wyoming Regional Championship ($1,500.00), IPSSSDR-Pinedale Stage Stop ($1075.00), Green River Rendezvous Pageant ($1,500.00), and the Pinedale Snow Explorer’s WSSA Fun Days ($2,000.00)
The August 30 Cycle submissions are available for public review at the Town of Pinedale’s front desk and available to check out at the PTTC office at 19 E Pine Street. The next funding cycle deadline for lodging tax grant applications is February 28, 2015. Applications are available on the Town of Pinedale website, Town Hall, and the PTTC office.
