November 24, 2014
Monday, November 24, 11:00AM report: Blue sky, was breezy earlier but calmer now. 32 degrees. Road being plowed now, mostly snow-packed with patches of ice. Surveyor Park, Moose Ridge and most of Old Road Trail groomed with both skate and classic track. Tree Loop has been groomed for skate and should be decent skiing. Kelly Park is the freshest groomed and will be the least wind-blown today. Don’t recommend skiing Lower Surveyor due to beaver raising water levels on bottom. Be cautious, thin ice. Flatline packed, but soft and thin coverage. White Pine lodge is not open yet, but parking lot is plowed. Nordic Warming Hut is open and has a restroom. CCC Pond trails won’t be groomed until after December 15th due to BLM wildlife restriction for migrating deer. Pinedale Golf Course has been groomed several times, but thin coverage due to wind – mostly grass underneath, but be careful of scratching skis where trail crosses pavement. Will try to get there this afternoon. This Nordic Ski Trail grooming report is courtesy of the Sublette County Recreation Board. For more information, call or text Mike Looney, 307-360-8488.
