Valerie Lee, Pinedale Community Theatre’s Managing Director, announce to a packed house at Saturday night’s ‘Pinedale Sings the Best of Broadway’ fundraising concert that Oklahoma is the musical production Pinedale Community Theatre (PCT) will mount next November.

PCT has produced three musicals previously, The Sound of Music in 2008, The King and I, 2011 and Guys and Dolls in 2013. Oklahoma, with music and lyrics by Rodgers and Hammerstein will be the 4th in this series. The show opened on Broadway in 1943 and was set in the Oklahoma Territory. It has toured across the country and the world, and been made into a movie. Many familiar songs were written for the production including ‘Oh what a Beautiful Morning’ and ‘Oklahoma!’. Auditions will be held in late August or early September.
