Update from Representative Albert Sommers
House District #20 Representative – Sublette, Lincoln, Sweetwater Counties
December 21, 2014
December 22, 2014
Dear Sublette County Commissioners and Citizens of Sublette County,
On October 20, I suffered a concussion doing cattle work. Medical tests were encouraging, and I progressed steadily until I attended the Dec. 10 Joint Education meeting in Jackson. While there, someone inadvertently bumped into the back of my chair, and this has set back my recovery. I may miss days or weeks of the Legislative Session, depending on how my recovery goes. For the time being, I will not be able to provide my usual service to my constituents, but I will do all I can when I can.
While at the Session, my condition will not allow me to provide daily updates to the community like I have in the past. However, I will try to provide weekly updates.
The Legislative Service Office will likely provide me an intern who will help me write press releases and keep track of emails. The LSO and members of the Legislature have been very understanding and helpful.
I am working on two or three bills, and will try to keep those irons in the fire, but cannot take on a heavy load of new bills.
I would greatly appreciate our local elected boards keeping me apprised of any votes of particular importance to them. As ever, I welcome input from community members as well.
Senator Stan Cooper, Senator Dan Dockstader, and Representative Marti Halverson also represent parts of Sublette County and would welcome your comments and concerns.
The best way to contact me is to send email to albert@albertsommers.com.
Thank you, Albert
