PFAC seeks new Cabochon entries
Designs for cast iron circle medallion for Pinedale sidewalks
January 4, 2015
The Pinedale Fine Arts Council (PFAC) In|Site:Ex|Site Public Art Program is putting out a "Call For Entry" for a new Cabochon installment.
One artist will be chosen to design a 30" relief medallion which will be produced in cast iron and permanently embedded in a sidewalk within the Pinedale community. The artist will receive a $500 honorarium for his or her design.
This opportunity is open to residents of all ages who are permanent residents of Sublette County. The selection process will be by official entry form, which includes a space for a black and white design concept and explanation.
This new design will be an addition to the ones that have already been installed into the sidewalks around Pinedale. They are circle designs, about the size of a manhole cover, embedded into the sidewalks around town.
Deadline to apply is Monday, February 9th, 2015. Applications are available at the PFAC office (432 W. Pine Street in Pinedale), Rock Rabbit, Isabel's Jewelry, at the Pinedale Library, or by clicking on this link (PDF).
For more information, please call the PFAC office at 307-367-7322.
