Jon Gibson selected as new Pinedale Town Councilman

The Pinedale Town Council has chosen Jon Gibson to be the newly appointed Town Councilman.
The Pinedale Town Council met in special session on Friday morning, February 13, 2015, for the purpose of appointing a new person to serve on the Town Council, to fill the seat vacated by Michael Kudar, who recently resigned. Those in attendance were Mayor Bob Jones, and Council members Tim Lingle, Nylla Kunard, and Matt Murdock.
The following persons applied for the position, and appeared in person before the Council:
Barbara Boyce Richard Duginski Jon Gibson Molly Mulcahy Melissa Ryckman
Forest Wakefield participated via speakerphone.
After speaking with the above six persons, the Council went into executive session, which ended at 12:01 PM.
Back in regular session, Matt Murdock moved to appoint Jon Gibson for the vacant position, and this was seconded by Nylla Kunard. The vote which followed was unanimous to appoint Jon Gibson.
Jon Gibson, age 69, was born in Memphis, and lived there for a few years until moving to Texas. Gibson served in the United States Army, flying helicopters in the Vietnam War. He worked afterwards in the field of aviation, working with law enforcement flights and providing executive flights. Gibson has lived in Pinedale for the past 5-½ years.
