Old-time snowmachine hill climb at The Place
February 2, 2015
Vintage snowmobile enthusiasts participated in a "one lunger" hill climb at The Place in the Upper Green on Saturday, January 31st. The self-proclaimed "King of the Upper Green" was Brad Winters.
This event is not to be confused with the annual "One Lunger" vintage snowmobile race that will take place next weekend on Saturday, February 7th at Sagebrush Downs in Cora, sponsored by the Pinedale Snow Explorers Snowmobile Club. Registration for that event will be on Friday, Feb 6th from 5:30-8:30PM at Stockman's in Pinedale or online at www.pinedalesnowexplorers.com. There is a mandatory driver's meeting at 10AM. Races start at 10AM on Saturday. Spectators welcome, $10/car load. For more info call Mike Carrillo, 307-360-7954. One lunger snowmachines are single and twin cylinder class snowmobiles dated 1973 or older.
For more snowmobile fun this winter, the Rocky Mountain Snowmobile Hillclimb will be at White Pine Ski Area on Friday and Saturday, March 6th & 7th sponsored by the Rocky Mountain States Hillclimb Association (RMSHA).
