SCRHCD celebrates American Heart Month in February
Hosts talks about Critical Access Hospital
February 8, 2015
Sublette County Rural Health Care District is kicking off American Heart Month by celebrating Go Red for Women Day. Clinic and EMS staff donned their red on February 6th and will be continuing to do so every Wednesday in February. Heart disease is the nation’s leading cause of death for both men and women and primary care is vital in recognizing and decreasing cardiac risk. Both the Pinedale Medical Clinic and Marbleton-Big Piney Clinics offer stress testing, made available by the University of Utah, and EMS now has the capability to transmit EKG readings from the scene to the on-call provider, expediting treatment during heart-related emergencies.
Please visit www.sublettehealthcare.com for a listing of events going on in February. The Sublette County Rural Health Care District hopes everyone will join them as they work to raise awareness for cardiac health this month.
Informational sessions will be held at both clinics for the public to stop by and learn more about the status of the Critical Access Hospital and ask questions. The sessions will be held on Thursdays during the month of February and run from 12-1p and 5-6pm.
