On January 5, 2015 Sublette County Unified Fire selected a winner for its new logo design contest.
Sublette County Unified Fire was officially designated as the Sublette County Fire Department on January 1, 2015. The former fire departments unified and became one under the leadership of a single chief, Sublette County Unified Fire Chief/Warden Shad Cooper. The former departments will now be known as battalions of Sublette County Unified Fire. They will remain in their respective communities, respond to all incidents and address the needs of their community’s as they did in the past. The only difference will be their ability to respond as one department with more resources to handle all incidents in a more effective and efficient manner. This only equates to better fire protection for the entire county.
With this unification and to signify all battalions as one unified department, a new logo design was needed. A contest for the new logo design was initiated to involve the Sublette County community in creating the logo that would signify the newly unified fire department.
This turned out to be one of the hardest decision making processes we’ve had to date. There were some very interesting and thoughtful designs submitted by a number of our local residents. Of all the designs submitted, the logo committee focused on one design submitted by Strahinja Trujkie. Mr. Trujike was awarded the $200.00 prize money on January 30, 2015 by Sublette County Unified Fire Chief/Warden Shad Cooper. The Sublette County Unified Fire Department extends a heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Trujkie for the design he submitted and a well-deserved thank you to all community members who participated.
