March 4, 2015
Wednesday, March 4, 11:30AM report: All trails above freshly groomed this morning. About 8" of new snow. Very cold this morning, warming up to about 0 degrees right now. Nice day, except for the cold, bit of a breeze. Bundle up or bring an extra layer. The White Pine Snowmobile Hill Climb is this weekend, which will take up most of the parking lot space at the ski area. They will be charging $20 per carload to get into the parking lot. The ski trails around the parking lot and Lower Surveyor will be closed due to snowmachine traffic. Might be better to park at the Half Moon overlook or Nordic building parking area below, or in the overlook parking lot at the end of the paved portion of Skyline Drive past the ski area and then ski over to avoid the Hill Climb congestion. Hope to get to the CCC and Golf Course trails later this afternoon-those should be good tomorrow. This Nordic Ski Trail grooming report is courtesy of the Sublette County Recreation Board.
