Town of Pinedale update: Water Meters & Road Work
by Town of Pinedale Mayor Bob Jones
April 1, 2015
Hello Pinedale, this is Bob Jones. It appears winter is in the rearview mirror, but please be careful with your water at home and work. We are still getting cold at nights and we are still getting freeze-ups. So keep bleeding for a little while yet. Those of you that had yard meter boxes installed please wait until the temperatures are not going below freezing at night before you reinstall your meter. As a reminder, if the meters do freeze up, it is your responsibility to replace it.
As all the snow leaves and the frost in the road base thaws, we are seeing some bad pot holes and total failures on several of our roads. Between sweeping up the winter’s sand and fixing damaged roads, the guys at Public works have their hands full. The guys are doing all they can each day, so I ask for your patience. Safety is our first priority, so if you see a dangerous spot in a road, please call town hall at 307-367-4136 and let us know about it so we can add it to our priority list. We have a couple of major road failures that will need large repairs. We’ve contracted to start those repairs beginning the week of April 6th. These repairs may require closing down a major portion of a street. I know this is an inconvenient, but it must be done. Please remember these guys are just doing their jobs, so let’s drive slow and cautiously when you go by these repair sites. I want our guys to go home safe. The Sheriff’s Office will be watching out for everyone’s safety.
I hope you have a good day and enjoy the weather.
Oh, and another quick reminder. Don’t forget to sign the kids up for spring soccer.
